RULES & REGULATIONS
• Team Roster - 3 players minimum; 5 player maximum;
• Format - Round Robin;
• Divisions - There are both men and women categories in each division. Boys and girls may play on the same team, but will be placed in the men’s category for their division. If there are not enough teams to form a bracket, a team may be moved up to the next division;
• Game Duration-20 minutes running time;
• Time Outs– One per game;
• Possession– The first possession is determined by a coin flip. Following a successful basket, the defense gains possession, and must dribble or pass the ball in from behind the arc. Failing to do so will result in a change of possession. Following a dead ball, a ‘check ball’ exchange will occur behind the arc;
• Stalling– The first stalling call will result in a warning. Subsequent stalling calls will result in a change of possession;
• Substitutions– Allowed during dead ball situations;
• Scoring-Baskets inside the arc are worth one point. Baskets behind the arc are worth two points;
• Steals, Turnovers and Defensive Rebounds– The ball must be dribbled or passed behind the arc. Failing to do so will result in a change of possession;
• Fouls– Five fouls are allowed per team. After the 5th foul, the fouled player will get one free throw. If a player is fouled during his/her shot and the shot is not made, the player will get one shot if the foul occurred inside the arc, and two shots if the foul occurred beyond the arc. If the fouled player makes the shot, he/she will not get a foul shot, but will retain possession;
• Overtime-A coin flip will determine possession. The first team to score a basket wins;
• Final Score–The first team to 15 points wins. If no team reaches 15 points by the end of the 20 minutes, the team with the highest score will win. The winning team must win by two points.
